Football is here

Filed under: Uncategorized — by rlaughlin @ 1:09 am

The anticipation is high.  There’s a fever in the atmosphere.  My son is ready for football practice an hour early, there is something amiss in the world.  Today is the first day of football “practice”.  I’m starting to look forward to the first game.

Life is about to be thrown off kilter.  The balance and structure that I’ve tried to create these past 60 some days is about to be blown to splinters.  This is going to be a true test to my recovery.  The only thing to do is take it one day at a time.

On the bright side…I have something to take pictures of…ohhhh, goody!

  1. Positive! Think positive! You’ll just have to make some adjustments to your balance and structure. Trust me. I’m a little skittish myself. Cali starts gymnastics tonight..two days a week and swimming lessons on Saturdays. I’m already freaking out….will we eat before or after? What time should we leave? What should I wear to work out in? I hope noone laughs at me when I fall off the treadmill.

    So. You’re not alone.

  2. Thank you! That makes me feel better. I really was freaking out about the whole eating before or after thing. How little is that? I was also worried about transportation to and from practice, which I prayed about and it was answered! The neighbor’s son is on Noah’s team and his Dad is a coach so he’s going to take Noah along with them. I am so thankful for him!

Luckily, I won’t be on a treadmill. So, positive right back atcha…it’s no big thing, just the ground that moves 🙂
